Namaha Devi Issue #3

Rahul has followed Iyam to a meeting at the docks with Amara Gaelle. She tells Iyam of Lord Bala's contracting of Kratha to kill Tara before she becomes the Devi. Angered by this and by Amara's statement that possibly Iyam was becoming too attached to Tara to kill her, he begin begins to attack her, but is interrupted when his guards return having found Rahul. Iyam leaves Rahul for Amara to deal with and leaves to go kill Tara himself.
Elsewhere on the the a rooftop overlooking the Durapasya that have kidnapped Tara. Kratha is confronted by a man asking why she has forsaken her duty as an Aspara for that of an assassin for hire and is now working to kill that which she is to protect. A battle ensues and Kratha lands a blow as the man teleports away.
In soma-induced trance Tara meets here otherselves: versions of herself from the past, future, and from what might have been. After being told goodbye and good luck. Isana, the first Devi, appears and explains what is happening and why, and that despite Tara's protests she must proceed and takes her to be blessed by the Gods.
Iyam the erupts from Tara's cell phone amidst the crowd of Durapasya and states that he will kill them all.

Dwija Issue #2

Rahul Singh, an inspector in India with drinking problem, tracks down and kills a fanged man with inhuman strength and agility. However, during the autopsy the man awakes to attack the mortician. Luckily, Rahul is there and decapitates the man with a bone saw. Finding the stamp of a local club, called The Abyss, owned by Iyam who is one of the biggest crime bosses in the city AND was/is Lord Bala's most general.
Meanwhile in a local bar, Kratha meets with an associate of Amara Gaelle to learn about the job that Bala has contracted her for and learns that it is the woman that is to become the next Devi. A social worker named Tara Mehta, who is dating Iyam.
After meeting Iyam at The Abyss, Iyam is called off on business (followed by Rahul) and sends Tara home. Along the way they run into a procession of the Durapasya and Tara is kidnapped by them. Kratha watches this from a rooftop and is told by Bala to "kill them all" to get to her.

devi-bhairavi Issue #1

In the second century of man, the first Devi has battled to the gates of Bala' fortress while commanding an army of Durapasya. Upon breaching the wall Bala takes control of the Durapasya turning them against her. Breaking free she engages Lord Bala and eventually beats him, blinding him in the process.
Bodha, king of the Gods, then imprisons Bala deep within the earth for all eternity. Lord Bala escapes, however, in a flurry of bats.
In the present day, an Aswara (heavenly assassin), named Kratha has become a freelance assassin who works for the highest bidder. Her heavenly powers making her a force to be reckoned with. And, she has just been contracted by Lord Bala.
